Texas Mystery Author Biography

I was born and grew up in East Tennessee, but I have called Houston home almost long enough to pass for a Texan. I've accumulated B.S. and M.S. degrees in geology and a J.D. in law, and I've had careers in both fields. Those careers involved analysis of facts and theories and writing lots of technical and legal things not intended as fiction. That turned out to be good training for writing intentional fiction.

On a personal level, I'm happily married, still to the same wonderful guy I eloped with when we were both teenagers a long, long time ago. We have been blessed with two children and five grandchildren who have filled our lives with all the important things.
